"Hey, Pretty" was written with the intention to show the complexities of emotions. It's a poetry book that must be heard through the heart, not the ears. The poetry is supposed to create a new understanding to the emotions felt when encountering new love experiences and how each experience leaves a lesson learned about love or about themselves

This is a book of love letters between two people who see nothing else in the world but each other. showing the true emotions felt when true love is present. although it is not always sunshine and rainbows throughout our lives there is one thing that can provide true peace and joy. that is love. this book of prose highlights how intimate true love truly is and how simple letters can move the heart to its core and cause the mind to fall in love and the spirit to be fed.

While writing this book I hoped that anyone who reads it no matter single or in a relationship took to heart every letter and place themselves in each one. regardless it is as the person speaking or the person being talked about. I hope this book truly does move people to see love in a higher light than this world provides. I pray that this read will spark the passion in every reader to give love their absolute best shot. fully trusting, accepting and enjoying what love truly is.

This book was written from deep within my heart and I pray it brings comfort, understanding and peace to all of those who feel lost, broken, or empty. I hope it is a read that gives you reassurance about what true love looks like and what it should be. But more than anything I pray it brings your heart closer to the true love God has for you and you come to truly know how he sees you and who he knows you to be.

"Pretty in Every Shade of Brown" is my letter to all the women who have struggled to believe in the beauty they possess and have looked to someone else to label their beauty. We are all victims of an unrealistic beauty standard but we are also guilty of giving power to it as well. This book is my best words to express the past heartache we've encountered and clarity about self-love, black and brown love, and the unity within the community. So thank you and enjoy!
